The construction sector is particularly focussed on the impact buildings make on the environment.  As a business that is construction industry based we recognise that we also have a role to play in helping to provide buildings that limit damage to the environment.  At the same time we realise that the ideals of protecting the environment and commercialism do not always come together in perfect harmony.

Our solution therefore is threefold.  Firstly we want to understand the needs of our clients and how we can satisfy their needs for environmentally friendly building materials.  Secondly we work with all of our suppliers to ensure that they are aware of the impact they have on the environment and are working positively to reduce it.  Recyclable materials, careful disposal of waste and reducing transport are just some of the issues we have identified.  Lastly we are looking to our own business activities and understanding where we can make a difference. 

Environmental awareness doesn't come overnight, but we believe that the first step is to understanding the issue and the difference we can make.  We will continue to work towards reducing the impact that the activities of the Stillwater Group of companies has on the environment.
